KÄRCHER touchless car wash
Introducing the payment technology at the KÄRCHER touchless car wash in Ostrava-Poruba.
This modern car wash, operated by Tomix s.r.o., offers three self-service wash bays with vehicle detection by induction loop. Payment is easy and contactless too, thanks to the integrated INGENICO iUC180B contactless payment terminal, which communicates directly with the control system via the ECR2 protocol. The pre-authorisation function is enabled here, which means that a selected amount (CZK 100, CZK 200 or CZK 500) is initially blocked on the customer's payment card, but once the wash is finished, the card is charged only for the actual time spent washing the car.
We are constantly making improvements. Because the payment terminals are part of the wash bay, where they may come into contact with water, we have fitted them with protective acrylic covers that increase their resistance to moisture.
And that is not the only improvement. We are also thinking of the environment and of saving on the cost of printing receipts. Customers can therefore easily collect their tax receipt online on the DOKLAD ONLINE web portal.
More information on integrating payment terminals into car washes can be found in the section Car washes.
