Modernisation of the parking system in Frýdek-Místek
In recent years, Frýdek-Místek has seen significant changes to its parking system, intended to improve the availability of parking spaces and make payment more convenient for drivers.
Since the beginning of November 2024, new parking pay stations replacing the original solution have gradually been put into operation here by the town's technical services company, TS a.s.
Our company, SONET member of Payten, had the opportunity to implement its payment technology in these 20 on-street parking pay stations, adding the option of card payment. After entering their vehicle registration number, drivers can easily pay the parking fee contactlessly at modern Ingenico Self/2000 payment terminals. Parking can also be paid for via the modern web solution “Parkum”, which additionally lets users manage their parking tickets and favourite registration numbers and also works with automatic vehicle location.
Our new business partner WSA doprava a parkování s.r.o., with whom we worked on modernising the parking system, specialises in the regulation of stationary traffic in towns and municipalities. This means you can come across their parking pay stations at car parks in more than 70 towns and municipalities across the Czech Republic.
We believe that our cooperation will not end with Frýdek-Místek, and we look forward to further projects.
