CrossPark in Špindlerův Mlýn
Ahead of the ski season, we helped bring several large car parks into operation at one of the best-known mountain resorts in the Czech Republic.
Špindlerův Mlýn is the country's most visited ski resort, welcoming tens of thousands of visitors every year. It is therefore important that they can park conveniently, quickly and without confusion. All of this is delivered by the CrossPark parking system from Cross Zlín a.s., which has been our long-standing business partner for 8 years in integrating payment technologies into parking systems.
CrossPark is a barrier-controlled parking system for modern parking, implemented here at 3 car parks. At Medvědín, Hromovka and Bedřichov you will find 4 entry and 4 exit columns fitted with our unattended payment terminals. And because Špindlerův Mlýn is demanding in winter in terms of weather and temperature, the entry columns were fitted with payment terminals offering the highest IK10 impact resistance and IP65 protection. The CAT – Ingenico unattended set iUP250 LE, iUR250, iUC150B handles these demanding conditions with flying colours.
To keep traffic flowing and get visitors through quickly, the parking systems are also equipped with number plate recognition for automatic barrier opening, and with vehicle height measurement to determine parking tariffs and restrict coaches from entering certain car parks. We implemented the payment technology via the CR2 protocol into the control system that monitors and controls the individual car parks. The car parks are in turn fitted with automatic information signs showing drivers the current occupancy of each one.
Where a parking fee has to be paid, visitors can use 6 pay stations which, in addition to cash and GOPASS cards, also accept fast contactless card payment. The Self/4000 payment terminals integrated here are notable for their simple installation and NFC payment technology.
Parking in Špindl is therefore quick, easy and convenient. And we are pleased to have been involved in making it happen. This is neither our first nor our last project with our business partner Cross Zlín, though. In the spring, we are already preparing together to make parking more pleasant for visitors to the Galerie Šantovka shopping centre in Olomouc.
