IQ WASH touchless car wash
Since October 2021, customers of the IQ WASH touchless car wash in Brno-Líšeň have been able to pay for services contactlessly. At a self-service machine fitted with an unattended payment terminal, they can buy tokens or chip keys, which they then use to access the services of this 24/7 car wash.
We agreed more favourable operating terms with the owners on an individual basis. The previous payment technology was replaced with a new one, and card transactions are now processed through the domestic acquirer REVO (Raiffeisenbank). This change has benefited the car wash owner in many ways. In addition to more favourable operating terms, he has gained a better service network and lower bank transaction fees.
We fitted the self-service machine with the most widely used unattended payment terminal in the Czech Republic – the Ingenico iUC180B for accepting card payments of up to CZK 500 (EUR 60). A pilot is currently under way, but we already know that everything runs smoothly and the payment terminal handles dozens of transactions a day.
The owner plans to expand this already busy car wash in the future, so additional unattended payment terminals will be needed. It may well be that, together with this partner, the technology will spread further across the Czech Republic, as it has with our existing partners EUROEKOL, CULEX, TABAS and others.
